Description

Flygfesten in Dala-Järna is one of Northern Europe's biggest civil air events. It takes place every three years at Västerdalarna airfield, organized by the Västerdalarnas Flygklubb. The event attracts around 50,000 visitors every year, and features spectacular aerial displays ranging from historic WWI aircraft to the most modern aeronautical technologies.

The atmosphere is very festive, with air shows during the day and a special evening on Friday, including fireworks, live music and entertainment until late at night. Spectators can expect world-class aerobatics, often performed by internationally renowned pilots, as well as rare military and civilian aircraft such as the DC-3 Daisy, a historic aircraft that served in the Second World War.

The next edition of Flygfesten is scheduled for August 2025, promising even more thrilling aerial displays and activities for the whole family.
