The Aviation Festival is making a grand comeback under the name Grands Lacs Aéro and invites you to join us on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Biscarrosse Parentis Airfield. This free event invites the public to discover the region’s rich aviation heritage through a day full of excitement, open to all enthusiasts and curious visitors alike.
The highlight of the event is an exceptional three-hour air show, during which some thirty aircraft are expected to take to the skies. Spectators will be able to admire the legendary YAK 3, an iconic World War II fighter plane, as well as historic aircraft, aerobatic planes, and aircraft from local aviation organizations. The program notably features a Beechcraft Baron 55 piloted by Mikael Brageot, the CAP 10 flown by Julie Quèbre, the French aerobatics champion, as well as microlights and seaplanes.
In addition to the aerial demonstrations, visitors can stroll through four themed villages dedicated to shops and heritage, the military and training, children’s activities, and the airfield’s operators. The National School of Civil Aviation is also hosting a lecture titled “In Search of The Little Prince,” led by Léon Dubois. Food options from several food trucks will be available on-site to enhance this day dedicated to aviation.
