It was in 1970, at the Cerny - La Ferté-Alais airfield, that the first event organized by a handful of enthusiasts under the name of Fête Aéro-folklorique... the Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis (AJBS), in collaboration with the Aéro-Club de France, proposed a return to its roots with the theme of "Fête Aérienne".
Since then, "Le Temps des Hélices", traditionally held at Pentecost, has become a key event in the European airshow season, thanks to its line-up, its ground entertainment and its fireworks display.
