The North East Lincolnshire Armed Forces Weekend (AFD24) will take place on June 28, 29 and 24. 30 and will keep the UK armed forces community (serving military, reservists, veterans and cadets with their families) in the public eye. We are organizing and will deliver a series of attractions to truly promote CIVIL/MILITARY integration and for the day we have a full program including parades, entertainment, flying displays and capability demonstrations to capture and build public support for our armed forces community. and raise awareness of the vital work carried out by the British armed forces around the world. The event will also demonstrate, through very wide public participation, the true resilience of the UK and our ability to regain trust by hosting large public events in a safe and friendly environment at Cleethorpes.
AFD24 flags will be hoisted on all major public buildings in the borough for 14 days. A full program of fully inclusive events to promote all our armed forces will be delivered to attract and ensure the best possible integration between our civilian and military communities. We will once again be encouraging street parties and other outdoor events around and in key activity areas to ensure that veterans, cadets, military personnel and the general public can meet in safety.
