The Shuttleworth Flying Proms is a popular aerial event combining aerial performances and classical music concerts. For 2024, this event will take place over two days, on August 31 and September 1. The first day is dedicated to the "Flying Proms", where the National Symphony Orchestra will perform classical pieces while accompanying spectacular flights. The second day, entitled "Family Proms", will focus on family activities without the aerial performances. Spectators can expect a variety of historic aircraft, including the famous Lancaster from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) and other iconic aircraft of the era. Visitors are invited to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy the festive atmosphere while admiring the aircraft flying at sunset. The combination of music, air shows and a friendly atmosphere makes this a unique experience in Old Warden, Bedfordshire.
