Southport Air Show

Dates 29 - 30 August 2026
Location Southport
The Southport Air Show has established itself as one of the United Kingdom’s premier aviation events, attracting families, aviation enthusiasts, and visitors from all walks of life to the English coast each year. Held in Southport on Marine Drive, this must-see summer event celebrates the history, technology, and passion for flight against a spectacular seaside backdrop. Gates open at 10:00 a.m., while the flight demonstrations typically take place from noon to 5:00 p.m., offering a spectacular show overlooking the sea.

On the program for the 2026 edition, spectators will have the chance to witness the highly anticipated return of the famous Red Arrows aerobatic team, which will be performing on both days. The public will also be able to admire prestigious formations and aircraft, including the Royal Air Force’s Typhoon, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight—featuring a Spitfire, a Hurricane, and a Dakota—as well as demonstrations by the Tutor, the Hawk T1, and the Otto helicopter equipped with pyrotechnics. The show will be rounded out by displays from the Richard Goodwin Jet Pitts, the Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers, The Starlings formation, the Strikemaster Display Team, the Gazelle Squadron, and, of course, the A26 Invader and the P-51 Mustang.

Between the aerial displays, the event offers numerous ground activities along Marine Drive and within the Military Village. Visitors can explore equipment from the Royal Navy, the British Army, and the Royal Air Force, chat with members of the armed forces, and meet local Air Cadets. To round out the experience, the site features flight simulators, replica aircraft, and a wide selection of booths offering crafts, military souvenirs, treats, and family attractions such as trampolines and bumper cars.
