The Wings Over Wayne Air Show has established itself as North Carolina’s largest free air show. Held every other year in odd-numbered years, this event draws nearly 200,000 spectators to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro. Named “Event of the Year” by the State Association of Festivals and Events, it honors the dedication of military personnel while offering an unforgettable spectacle to the public.

Seymour Johnson Air Force Base is home to the prestigious 4th Fighter Wing of the Air Combat Command, with 78 years of service, as well as two Air Force Reserve units: the 916th Air Refueling Wing and the 414th Fighter Group. True to its reputation, the air show features a special appearance by the famous U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the U.S. Air Force’s official aerobatic team, which guarantees breathtaking aerial displays over the runway.

Aviation enthusiasts and families alike will have the opportunity to experience the thrill of American aerial power during these two spectacular days. With flight demonstrations and an immersive experience at the heart of a major military installation in U.S. history, the Wings Over Wayne Air Show continues to leave a lasting impression with each edition.
