In the final weeks of World War II, the skies over Northern Europe witnessed the arrival of a groundbreaking innovation: the jet aircraft.
France was determined not to fall behind and launched a call for tenders to develop a training aircraft that would prepare its fighter pilots for this new technology.
This led to the birth of the Fouga Magister !
The aircraft proved to be enjoyable to fly, high-performing, and an excellent training platform. Additionally, its twin-engine configuration provided greater safety compared to its single-engine competitors.
As a result, it became the standard training aircraft of the French Air Force, shaping all French fighter pilots from the late 1950s to the early 1990s. It also equipped the Patrouille de France from 1964 until it was replaced by the Alphajet starting in 1981.
Between 1964 and 1970, the Patrouille de France’s Fougas featured a livery very similar to that of our "Charlie Juliet", the aircraft in which you are about to embark on an unforgettable experience!
