Zlin Trener Box

The group was formed during group flight training at the Czechoslovak Air Show in the year the 26 Zlín Trainer production line celebrated its 75th anniversary. They were approached by others for a demonstration of four retractable-frame types, and so the group began to form with performances at other events. The idea behind the Box is to pay tribute to Czechoslovak pilots who have been dedicated to group flying since time immemorial. The graceful curves of the machines highlight the skilful hands of Czechoslovak designers. In the group, you can see four types of Zlín Z-526 aircraft, the Z-526, Z-526 M, Z-526 F and Z-526 AFS-V versions. The first of these is equipped with a Walter Minor 6-III engine and three more powerful Avia M-137s.
