The Swiss Air Force is cancelling AirSpirit 24, the airshow that was due to take place at Emmen air base from 30 to 31 August 2024.
‘For the army, public events are very important for building trust and establishing its reputation. Today, the armed forces train mainly on the battlefields in preparation for their operations, which means that they are generally far from the public eye. However, because of the tense financial situation, the army is foregoing a large proportion of its planned public events.’
